Lisa lives and work close to vienna in a log cabin, surrounded by birch trees and her family. Here at the edge of the forest, she finds the peace and strength she needs to work and in the city she finds inspiration.
Having grown up in her parents' bookbindery, surrounded by leather, paper and lead typesetting, design runs like a red thread through her life. As a multidisciplinary designer she has been working intensively with craft, lettering, illustration and design for more than 30 years.
Lisa enjoys developing products and being able to make them herself. “At the end of the day, you can see what you have made. In my studio a leather sewing machine shares the space with gold leaf, bottles of ink, coloured pencils, paper and metres of fabric, leather and in the middle of it all my computer.”
She loves creating designs that work both - as fabric and as art prints which she prints on paper herself in a high-quality form. Her style is abstract floral, geometric, yet illustrative, mixing trendy patterns with timeless classics.
